Handmade jewelry starts as a spark in the heart - that's one of the reasons handmade is so special.
September Breeze is filled with heart and sentiment. You see, the beautiful open-cut silver leaf pendant was made many years ago by my late husband, Norman. I was going through his stash of jewelry findings and completed pieces when I found this magnificent one-of-a-kind pendant. Norm cut and polished the featured oval Crazy Lace Agate cabochon from his own rock collection. The all natural agate has an unique irregular pattern mixing oranges, grays, creams and browns.
To create the necklace strand, I selected a matching color range of carnelian beads in oranges and creams and open-cut sterling silver beads that mimic the cut-out pattern of the silver leaf. A lovely silver-plated S-Hook clasp, with a delicate bead dangle, secures the necklace.
September Breeze measures 16 inches plus the unique 1 3/4 inch sterling silver leaf pendant.
I know you'll enjoy September Breeze and appreciate the memories surrounding its creation.
