Jewelry Maker’s Heaven

My new Lindstrom round nose pliers came (they were waiting for me over the weekend at the Post Office Box) and I'm in heaven! I've slowly been upgrading my hand tools and this was the next one. These Swedish-made tools are worth the investment and I would recommend them to anyone interested in producing top quality jewelry components. The pliers are exceptionally lightweight and strong and the round nose tips are extra tiny to create perfect little loops. I watched TV last night while creating hundreds of little wrapped loop dangles for a fun bracelet. Wish I had the tool then as by the end of the evening my hand was cramped.

Along with spending more time blogging, I am learning the ins and outs of WordPress, tweaking everything and fixing the weird issues that seem to crop up every week. This week it was disappearing archived posts. Since I'm the Rose of Sharon Jewelry and Fullen family in-house IT department, I am always wrangling with one electronic issue after another. And to think it wasn't that long ago when tape answering machines were a novelty.

It's snowing today and hopefully will keep it up for a while. When you live in a desert, you pray for the wet-stuff so we have water for the garden next summer.

The 3 grandsons will be over to play and watch movies today so Josh and Dawn can have some "adult only" time together. Arden had to reassemble the train layout as Kael loves to create crash 'em scenarios and shout "Oh, No!" Orion likes to chase you with his plastic Craftsman drill and a diabolical laugh. Hunter shares my laptop when he's here and finds the funniest You Tube videos to amaze Grandpa! It's a Mac and Cheese day for all - fun, tasty, warm and full of comfort.

Life is wonderful!
