Millions of words have been written through the centuries on happiness. I thought today I’d share the one single answer to your search. Drum roll please. . . . . . . . .

It’s GRATITUDE.

Simple huh? It’s personal, practical, affordable, achievable, sharable and it works!

Through my adult life, I’ve had plenty of ups and downs. Really great highs and some terrifying lows; but every time I need to grasp onto something it’s been Gratitude that has done it for me.

No matter what the situation I try to step back and find the things I can be grateful for.

After hubby Arden was diagnosed with lung cancer, I would cry every morning on my way to my brand-new job. But when we heard that he didn’t have brain cancer – we celebrated and went out to our favorite Greek restaurant. It was gratitude that carried us through. And with early detection and surgery, he has been cancer-free for almost 20 years!

5 Reasons to be Grateful – Right Now

So turn off that depressing news network and write your own personal gratitude list. Here are 5 reasons I’m grateful today – in no particular order.

My grandsons live 3 blocks away.
My mother is coming to visit in July.
My sister-in-law has found a life path through her faith.
My husband is truly devoted to me.

I Got Color

Spent the afternoon getting a fresh new hair color - actually several colors blended together to give me a bright sun-kissed blonde look without laying around a pool.

Wrap Around Bead Cages

Tonight I'm creating silver wrap-around bead cages over lavender glass pearls. Lovely combo for a new necklace I'll be posting in our soon-to-open etsy store. The etsy store will feature an affordable, fashion jewelry line all handcrafted by the Rose of Sharon team. I often do wire-wrapping projects while watching TV and today's feature film is the 2008 X-Files movie. Not what we expected but certainly not the worse film we've seen lately.Had a great weekend. Got a wonderful new office chair ($125 off with rebates, frequent buyer dollars and a coupon) so I'll move my current chair to the beading table so Dawn can join me in comfort.

<p>Dawn and I took photos on Saturday afternoon so I'll have some new necklaces in the Rose of Sharon Jewelry store.We've got a backlog of over 35 pieces - mostly necklace sets. Dena took wirewrapped pendants to work (she works for Simple Green). She had use of their in-house photo studio and a friend helped take some nice shots. Sometimes I forget what business we are in. Am still looking for a photography mentor to help improve our jewelry photography.
