Today is National Grandparents Day! As a Grandparent and a granddaughter, I know the power of this relationship. Grandparents are life lines in many families. Grandparents are safe arms in a hostile world. Grandparents are living history. Grandparents are love. Grandparents live forever in YOU.

With my laptop permanently napping, I forgot to create a Silent Sunday post. But I can tell you it was a much needed break. Made 2 bracelets and an anklet instead plus gardening 
and playing with water pistols!

Hang up the phone. Put down your PDA. Stop reading. Kids need your full attention as most drowning happen with a parent near-by.
I cannot be Silent this Sunday – for the sake of your children!
Drowning is the leading cause of preventable death in children under age 5.
It only takes a minute for disaster to happen. Even a shallow kiddy pool can be a scene of unspeakable sorrow.
One minute they are playing – the next they are face down and turning gray.
Give your children 110% of your attention while near the water and have lots of fun this swim season!
