Forever In My Heart – New Pink Hearts Bracelet

A heart of glass usually isn’t a good thing, except when the hearts are adorable pink lampwork beads. My new Forever in My Heart  bracelet combines romantic pretty pink lampwork bead hearts with sparkling sterling silver.  Forever in My Heart is one of the many newly released handmade bracelets in the A.F.F. Jewelry line at Etsy.

Forever in My Heart is a wonderfully romantic one-of-a-kind bracelet. The perfect gift or a special treat for yourself?

The pink hearts of these handmade artisan lampwork beads are adorned with tiny dots. I added additional small white glass beads as an accent.

A+ Garnets Become Luscious Wine Drops

Natural garnets were the perfect choice for the new handmade Wine Drops bracelet. This new addition to the A.F.F. Jewelry line at Etsy is so juicy and rich. The deep wine purple reminded me the rich colors found in my favorite Shiraz.

This lovely new bracelet is a personal favorite - delicate in appearance but a fashion powerhouse. Here’s some pictures to drool over.

Building Christmas Presents

Mom and I have been spending our time creating dozens of wonderful new necklaces, charm bracelets and Christian jewelry to add to all three Rose of Sharon Jewelry venues.

Since December is a big bridal month, we’ve create several stunning wedding necklaces – all one of a kind. We’re knee deep in Swarovski crystals and pearls. I’m enjoying adding some color to our handmade wedding jewelry as the look has become so much bolder. Mom has a magnificent pair of long, long, long freshwater pearl earrings. These would be great with a strapless gown and upsweep hairdo. I fashioned some little girl’s Christian cross necklaces in delicate faux pearls and sparkling crosses with crystal CZ accents. Adorable and a wonderful gift! Don’t forget all our products are shipped in our eco-friendly signature purple gift boxes.   abiding-faith-set Here’s one of my favorite cross necklaces – Abiding Faith. Green and gold combos are a wonderful choice for year round enjoyment.

Notes From My Chair

Having broken one ankle and spraining the other, I spend most of my time with elevated legs. Not the most comfortable position. Still to hard to use crutches except for a few instances. The wheelchair isn't too negotiable on carpet and through doors so I'm left to crawling or walking around on my knees. The latter looking like a poor imitation of a Munchkin.

Even sitting in an ordinary chair with dangling legs hurts after 10 minutes so here I am being waited on. Should be a good situation but makes me grumpy. At least, I don't have to clean house. Ha!

Have spent a lot of hours catching up on emails. That's a chore as they seem to stream in as fast as I delete them. So I'm going through and unsubscribing to what I can. I see now how life just needs to be less cluttered.

The good part of being "off-track" is I've devoted a lot more time to creating. That includes more time to really read those bookmarked design articles, learn traditional Japanese Kumihimo braiding (more on that in upcoming posts) and assemble 30 new jewelry projects in little bags. All I have to do is grab a bag and bead away.

I'm off to post a new necklace on Rose of Sharon Jewelry and I'll be back later to introduce it to you.

9 Pins and No Bowling Ball

The surgeon put 9 pins and 1 plate in my ankle. Have 3 different incisions to deal with, a splint that weighs a ton and another ankle that looks like an elephant’s. I repeat – do not take walking for granted as the results can be hazardous to your health. Am mastering the wheel chair but need tires with more gripping power on the carpet. So I’m on the mend. Thanks for all your concerns.

No More Roller Derby For Sharon

I capped off a nice long weekend by missing the last 2 steps of our spiral staircase. I hit the tile hard with both ankles. My left ankle is severely swollen and sprained. I broke 2 bones in my right ankle and they were jutting out. Arden popped them back in place. Trust me that was no fun. He got a pillow for my head and I had to lay there for a while before we could assess the damage. After a trip to the emergency room and a surgeon, I'm scheduled for repairs today. They will put pins in and then let me go home. Having both ankles out of commission has been a ton of fun. They gave me crutches but since I couldn't put my weight on my "good" foot that was a worthless effort. My solution is to crawl on my hands and knees. Italian tile looks great but is not friendly surface for knees. So enough grumping - the blog will be sitting here lonely for a while until I feel better and can catch up with all those pressing issues like bill paying.
