Finding A Safe Place for Jewelry

Friday’s Finds my favorite blog category. I get to surf the web for great handmade finds and share them with you. It’s better than being a Mystery Shopper! I get the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of promoting an artist. Plus it’s easier on my budget!

Today’s Friday Find is Edie Castle’s Etsy shop. Edie creates lovely jewelry totes from colorful Amy Butler fabrics. il_430xN_135492072

The small totes are perfect to tuck into a carry-on bag with your precious jewelry.

The design at the left has pink flowers and buds on an ivory background.

Edie used a fabulous hot pink satin for the interior which gives it an extra pop of color.

Everything is washable and dryable! Which is a great advantage over the ordinary (and cheaply made) imported jewelry bags.

She sells these snuggly little pouches in small, medium and extra large sizes  There are lots of colors to choose from so I’m certain you’ll find a MUST HAVE! Don’t see exactly what you need? Send her a convo as she does custom work.

Edie hails from Warren, Arkansas and is a member of the CAST (Christian Artists Street Team). Drop by her Etsy store and tell her Rose of Sharon Jewelry sent you!

I found Edie through Etsy’s link love campaign and am glad I could share her lovely jewelry pouches with you on the first Friday Finds post.

Asian Pendant – Today’s Fashion Find

I simply adore Asian-influenced anything and this beautiful necklace from It’s  Jewelry Thing on ArtFire is one to covet. The Ming Dynasty pottery shard pendant is an eye-catching. Matched with Hill Tribe silver, the purple floral motif really stands out. The grassy green shell beads increase the drama in this beautiful piece.

Click the picture to learn more about the artist and her authentic Ming Dynasty pottery shard components and wander there her complete studio.

Ahh…. so many beautiful pieces of handmade jewelry – so little budget. If I recall, that’s why I got into jewelry-making in the first place.
