Even snow on the ground won’t stop me from preparing for Spring! Pulled out all the garden catalogs, ordered more plants and today I’m featuring two great handmade jewelry designs that shout Spring!

Your mouth will water when you look closely at the juicy Jade beads in the handmade Pink Grapefruit necklace and earring set designed by Sandra Lee for the Rose of Sharon Jewelry artisan line.

Two different Jades with colors ranging from the palest pink to a ruby red (as in the grapefruit) were mixed with sparkling rose Swarovski crystals.

Who could be blue when wearing this beautiful Before Dawn necklace? With blue shades in pale glass to deep-as-the-ocean coral, the fluorite floral pendant take center stage in this great one-of-a-kind design.

The double-strand necklace uses natural blue coral beads, are mixed with pale blue crackle glass beads.

 

The Fluorite pendant is hand carved and has dramatic blue streaks. Beaded tendrils continue the floral theme.

 

Never one to let a few leftover beads “go to waste”, Betty has fashioned a lovely coordinating pair of earrings. Both the necklace and the earrings have sterling silver findings.

Our newest Rose of Sharon Jewelry release is a colorful Candy Jade necklace/earring set in luscious pinks and reds.  An original design by Sandra Lee, Sorbet combines round and melon-shaped beads with ornate Bali silver beads and clasp.

 

Sorbet measures 17-inches  with a 2-inch center drop.

Beautiful blue freshwater pearl "eggs" adorn sterling silver bird's nest earrings in today's great jewelry find. This messy (yet very controlled) wire wrapping style has been gaining popularity and this lovely pair of handmade earrings are a great example of the design technique. Finishing our prep for Saturday's booth/show at the Reno Scion promotional event so I haven't had time to write too much. Mom and Sarah are visiting, too so we've been working together to create several new wedding necklaces and learn some new techniques.

I love sharing the art jewelry I find online with my readers. Today I found handmade metal jewelry by Nathalie Girard, Metalsmith on Etsy. Her shop Canadian Rockies Art has some wonderful oxidized silver earrings. Her designs are modern without being too far out for those of us who love classic designs. Stop by and see her great work.
