Joining the Handmade Community

This evening I've been busy joining a variety of handmade communities online. This gives me an opportunity to promote Rose of Sharon Jewelry, A.F.F. Jewelry and New Life Jewelry Art to people who appreciate the creativity, uniqueness and economic power of buying handmade.

There are lots of places to promote your handmade jewelry business online and even more communities that cover anything you might hand make.

You'll find us on PlumDrop now (see the box in the right column), JewelryGeeks and Buyhand.me. I just love sharing the photos I took recently - cannot just let those little digital images go stale in my laptop!

Here is a lovely Violetta by Sandra Lee. It will be in the store next week.violetta-necklaceIf you cannot wait, drop me a line to reserve.

Jewelry Business Dreams & Mother’s Day Gifts

"Happy are those who dream dreams and are willing to pay the price to make them come true."
Saw this quote today and really thought this captured my feelings lately. I've been putting in the hours online to promote Rose of Sharon Jewelry all over the web. I am working the dream - of being profitable, being recognized, being able to share handmade jewelry that brings joy and beauty into women's lives.  For a long time, I felt like I had lost the passion but it took some personal life changes to open my eyes and more importantly my heart. I'm embracing the wonderfulness of being able to create my life in my own image. Enough rambling and on to showing you a few pics I'm working on for the upcoming newsletter.

These handmade jewelry designs would make great Mother's Day gifts.  The first one is Hard Candy - a new release for the New Life Jewelry Art Line @ Artfire. img_0070

empress-pearls-necklace Empress is a magnificent necklace made from graduated vintage glass pearls.  This would be perfect for an upcoming wedding - even if you aren't the bride. You'll find Empress in the New Life Jewelry Art store.
