Christian Cross Necklaces

“I spent the past few winters with my brother and his wife in Yuma, Arizona. Our mutual interests in jewelry-making took us into Mexico regularly to scope out locally made silver beads. I discovered a small vendor with wonderful selection of sterling silver crosses. He was hesitant to deal much until he realized I was interested in over a dozen different designs.

We also spent weekends in Quartzsite, AZ where the annual rock and bead show attracts thousands to the fair-like atmosphere. Assorted vendors, who personally traveled around the globe, offered more unique interpretations of the “old rugged” cross.”

As a Christian, I enjoy being able to share my faith through my creativity.  My collection of crosses has grown significantly so I’ll be able to create  beautiful original works for some time.

 The soft green Jade of this cross suits the name – Everlasting Peace. Green is such a wonderfully peaceful color.

My favorite silver cross features a crown. The bold design is offset with a lovely open sterling silver chain.

The white topaz gemstone adoring the sterling silver cross is so lovely. This necklace I call Morning Star.

Blues of Every Hue

From baby blue to deep (almost black) blues, blue is the most popular color. Think of the lush colors of sapphire, the deep rich Lapis blue or the pale blue of chalcedony. Natural blue stones and gems are coveted and more costly.

However, many blues in beads and stones are successfully achieved with man-made dyes giving give us boundless options in design. Dyed products are an industry standard and satisfy our desire for colorful jewelry.
