Roses in the Tub – Luxury Soap: Today’s Great Handmade Find

A wonderful handmade soap is an affordable luxury. This olive oil and shea butter soap is a sensual treat for a rose lover like me. Created by roses shea butter soapAyelet and sold through her Etsy shop – Ayelet Artisan Bath and Body Products. these handmade soaps caught my eye today when checking my Flickr account.

This soap isn’t currently featured in her Etsy shop but she has other wonderful natural bath products along with lotions, lip balms, facial creams and vegan deodorants. 

My skin is sensitive to many chemicals so handmade is my #1 choice and it should be yours if you are interested in living a more natural life!

Beautiful blue freshwater pearl "eggs" adorn sterling silver bird's nest earrings in today's great jewelry find. This messy (yet very controlled) wire wrapping style has been gaining popularity and this lovely pair of handmade earrings are a great example of the design technique. Finishing our prep for Saturday's booth/show at the Reno Scion promotional event so I haven't had time to write too much. Mom and Sarah are visiting, too so we've been working together to create several new wedding necklaces and learn some new techniques.


Polymer Clay Goes Steampunk: Today’s Great Handmade Find

Today’s great handmade find combines 2 creative interests: polymer clay and steampunk design. These intricately adored art blocks are by Valeriana Solaris and are on display at Flickr.

Each block side is carefully stamped, carved and adorned with screws, watch parts and other common steampunk elements.

But it is her multi-layered antiquing method that really amplifies each detail.

Asian Pendant – Today’s Fashion Find

I simply adore Asian-influenced anything and this beautiful necklace from It’s  Jewelry Thing on ArtFire is one to covet. The Ming Dynasty pottery shard pendant is an eye-catching. Matched with Hill Tribe silver, the purple floral motif really stands out. The grassy green shell beads increase the drama in this beautiful piece.
