In November, Rose of Sharon Jewelry introduced our 1st cross necklaces for men. These masculine necklaces are wonderful expressions of faith. Each one-of-a-kind cross necklace fits most men comfortably.

Betty’s newest necklace started with a recycled pendant I found last year. Solar Flare came to life when a strand of A+ carnelian beads arrived in November.  You’ll find this bold necklace in our artisan store for Rose of Sharon Jewelry 

The wonderful colors in Solar Flare remind us of NASA’s pictures of our solar system.

 

 

 

These fantastic carnelian beads have colors that range from burnt umber to almost black.

A growing green trend in jewelry is “repurposing” found objects,  vintage or recycled jewelry and antique store finds.

I found this celestial (moons and stars) pendant while prowling around a local thrift shop.

 

 

 

Mom and I have been busy photographing and posting new Rose of Sharon Jewelry artisan designs in the store and have added over 25 new pieces to the A.F.F. Jewelry Line at Etsy.

Jewelry is a fabulous gift and handmade jewelry is a lasting treasure.

The serenity of the translucent green Jade was the inspiration for the new Everlasting Peace  necklace. The cross of silver and green is a simple elegant design. Betty then transformed faceted Jade rondelle beads with a yard of sterling silver wire to create a light and airy strand.

Mom and I have been spending our time creating dozens of wonderful new necklaces, charm bracelets and Christian jewelry to add to all three Rose of Sharon Jewelry venues.

Since December is a big bridal month, we’ve create several stunning wedding necklaces – all one of a kind. We’re knee deep in Swarovski crystals and pearls. I’m enjoying adding some color to our handmade wedding jewelry as the look has become so much bolder. Mom has a magnificent pair of long, long, long freshwater pearl earrings. These would be great with a strapless gown and upsweep hairdo. I fashioned some little girl’s Christian cross necklaces in delicate faux pearls and sparkling crosses with crystal CZ accents. Adorable and a wonderful gift! Don’t forget all our products are shipped in our eco-friendly signature purple gift boxes.   Here’s one of my favorite cross necklaces – Abiding Faith. Green and gold combos are a wonderful choice for year round enjoyment.

The ancient stone, Tiger Eye is featured in Betty’s new 2-piece jewelry set available today at Rose of Sharon Jewelry. The dramatic pendant was created by my late Father from a rock show find. Several years ago, he hand cut and polished the cabochon then set it in a heavy sterling silver pendant mounting. This is a “heritage” stone of superior quality unlike today’s mined Tiger Eye.

The Tiger Eye pendant and coordinating round beads are highly reflective and wonderful examples of the “tiger’s eye” effect.

The Harvest of Memories necklace measures 22 inches plus the 1-1/2 inch pendant.

 

 

 

 

The coordinating earrings have sterling earring wires and measure 1-1/2 inches. This set would be a great choice to freshen up last year’s suit or highlight a sleek shimmery silk blouse.

Who could be blue when wearing this beautiful Before Dawn necklace? With blue shades in pale glass to deep-as-the-ocean coral, the fluorite floral pendant take center stage in this great one-of-a-kind design.

The double-strand necklace uses natural blue coral beads, are mixed with pale blue crackle glass beads.

 

The Fluorite pendant is hand carved and has dramatic blue streaks. Beaded tendrils continue the floral theme.

 

Never one to let a few leftover beads “go to waste”, Betty has fashioned a lovely coordinating pair of earrings. Both the necklace and the earrings have sterling silver findings.

Before Dawn is 17 inches long plus an additional 2-3/4 inch for the center focal.

Pink Jade is such a luscious bead. The ladies of Rose of Sharon Jewelry love pink so you’ll see it used frequently on our different lines. This wonderful new 3-piece set from Betty is our newest original artisan design. Named Contessa for its elegant look, the necklace, bracelet and earrings are true statement pieces – and not for the timid!

Betty started with a lovely pink enamel flower from China. Since she loves Swarovski crystals, she added them along with a glass bead to create the one-of-a-kind centerpiece.

The pink Jade beads came next (a wonderfully juicy choice).

 

 

She added shiny black faceted glass beads to make the “grown-up girl” pink even more luxurious looking.

The final choice was the Swarovski rhinestone spacers. Gold-filled findings continue the rich look of all three pieces.

 

 

 

Bold and Bright

You can really see the sparkling Swarovski spacers in this elegant bracelet. Both bracelet and necklace have gold-filled toggle clasps.

Finishing Touch

The matching earrings complete the set but would be a great choice to wear alone with a more casual outfit.
