Jennie’s Handmade Legacy
Jennie (my Granny who died early last month) was a truly creative person. Her hands always had to be busy so she worked in the berry field, quilted, sewed and tended her garden in every spare moment.
I can see her well-used fingers stringing each lovely bead. During her last visit just before she passed, she made over 55 memory wire and elastic bracelets for our Scion event sale. Every time we turned around she was scrounging for more beads for another design.
This beautiful watch called Tell Me More is one of several that she created for the AFF Jewelry Line at Etsy. You’ll also find her other handmade jewelry creations in the Rose of Sharon Jewelry store with more to come in upcoming weeks.
Stop back tomorrow to see examples of Granny’s beautiful handmade quilts. These cherished treasuries are another expression of her creativity and a few are available now on Etsy. Details tomorrow. . .
